The ActiveBPEL Community Edition Engine

We are pleased to make available Active Endpoints' open source implementation of the Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) standard, as well as the BPEL Extensions for People and WS-Human Task specifications, as ActiveBPEL Community Edition Engine 5.0. Our open source implementation of BPEL is the ideal personal learning tool to become familiar with these important application development standards.

The BPEL4People and WS-HT specifications allow human interactions to be included in services-based applications. By incorporating human tasks in composite applications, WS-Human Task and BPEL4People expand project teams' flexibility and efficiency in delivering standards-based solutions that incorporate people, process and services into a single application.

As co-authors and co-submitters of the WS-Human Task and BPEL4People specifications to OASIS, Active Endpoints would like your feedback on these specifications and ActiveBPEL Community Edition Engine.
