学生开发者Zac White自己着手解决此事，创建了一个非盈利性，开放源代码的计划项目，叫做OpenClip，可以向iPhone开发商免费提供iPhone复制粘贴功能的框架，可以添加到每个开发商自己的程序里。这样用户就可以在支持程序之间使用复制和粘贴功能。
OpenClip完成此项“壮举”的同时也遵守了苹果的SDK的规则。这样以后用户便可以在不同程序之间进行复制和粘贴数据了。
